Registration Fees
Once you register your profile, the website will direct you to pay the registration fee. The amount can be paid online and is non-refundable.
The charges for students belonging to Karnataka are Rs.3000/- for all categories.
Once the payment is complete, it is important to download the payment receipt as it is one of the mandatory documents required during document verification.
As you complete this process, you will be able to complete the form wherein now you will have to provide more details such as parent information, address, domicile, caste, religion, category, and past academic records such as BDS exam details, internship completion, etc.
Don’t forget to re-check your information, as this is not editable after the final submission.
Once done, you can declare the information as correct and proceed to final submission.
With this, you must save the online generated copy of your form for your further reference when needed.
Security Deposit
The Security deposit is a refundable amount that everyone has to pay to participate in the further steps of the admission process. The link for payment of the security money is available on the same website.
You have to log in using your login credentials and pay the amount online.

The UPDGME will prepare this list after verifying your information online for eligibility.
Choice filling and choice locking
The UPDGME will release the seat matrix for MDS online before the choice-filling round. Once the link is active, you can log in to your profile and select your desired branches and colleges.
Although there is no limitation to adding the number of choices. However, you must strategize how and which options to be filled, instead of aiming to enter your preferences randomly.
Additionally, once you fill in your choices, choice locking is mandatory so revise your choices before locking them.
Seat Allotment and ResultsÂ
Once the option entry round is over, within a day or 2 the MDS seat allotment and results will be published online.
You have to download your admission order which will be available on your profile if you get an MDS seat.
Document VerificationÂ
If you are satisfied with what you have, then you have to follow the further steps and report to the designated nodal center with all the original documents.
The information you provided during registration will be verified offline again by the UPDGME to check your eligibility.
Additionally, since 2023, medical evaluation was also a part of the document verification process.
After your eligibility is verified, you will be officially allotted to your chosen institute.
Also, for those who do not accept the allotment result, since 2023, seat cancellation is only possible through physical reporting at the nodal center. Only then you will be eligible to participate in the second or other rounds.
