Since its establishment in 1996–1997, SRM Dental College has been known for maintaining high standards for dentistry education. The Ramapuram campus of SRM Dental College closely adheres to the required academic curriculum for BDS as mandated by the Dental Council of India (DCI). Along with four years of academic study and training, the BDS program requires a one-year internship. In total, the curriculum lasts for five years. Every area of the SRM Dental College campus has Wi-Fi access, and students have 24-hour access to an on-site DTP center. On the same premises as the SRM Dental College is a 100-bed hospital that provides top-notch medical care. A large operation theater complex featuring five operating tables offers first-rate treatment facilities.
