Courses Offered

One year of required internship work is combined with four years of academic learning and training for the BDS program. The entire program has a five-year duration. Only once the internship is completed is the BDS degree granted. The first two years of the course are devoted entirely to academic instruction, with a second year that introduces students to pre-clinical laboratories. In the third and fourth years, both academic and clinical training are offered.

Among the topics studied in the first two years of education are anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, dental materials, dental histology, microbiology, pharmacology, pathology, pre-clinical conservative medicine, and prosthodontics. Among the subjects taught in the third year are general surgery, oral pathology, and general medicine. The final year of study includes courses in oral medicine radiography, prosthodontics, periodontics, pedodontics, and other dental-related topics.  

The requirements for eligibility are as: 

  • The candidate must score 50% or above in their 10+2 board examination.
  • The candidate must obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the NEET-UG entrance examination for admission to any private dental college.

The course of MDS is three years. It involves specialized academic and practical training which is specific to the chosen department. The eligibility criteria are:

  • The candidate must hold a recognized Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from an Indian university or institute, be registered with the State Dental Council, have either a provisional or permanent registration, and have completed a one-year required rotational internship at a dental college that has been approved or recognized.

The two-story lecture theater complex houses a boy’s common area and four lecture halls outfitted with modern technologies.
