Institute of Dental Sciences was established in 2002. It is a part of Bareilly International University. It is one of the sister institutes of the Rohilkhand Charitable Educational Trust. Post-graduation in this college started from the year of 2008. It is one of the leading institutions in Uttar Pradesh which offers comprehensive education on clinical and patient care.

The total duration of the BDS course is 5 years which is 4 years of academics plus 1 year of rotatory internship. The eligibility criteria are that the candidates :
- Should pass the 12th Board examination.
- Should be a maximum of 17 years of age.
- Should obtain a qualifying score in the NEET-UG entrance examination.
The total duration of the MDS course is 3 years. The eligibility criteria are that the candidates :
- Should have passed Bachelor Of Dental Surgery (BDS).
- Should be a registered dental practitioner.
- Should complete the degree from a recognized dental college.

- Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics.
- Prosthodontics and Crown & bridge.
- Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry.

The college has a fully furnished and well-built library with a seating capacity of 200 students. The library content is updated annually with the latest developments in the field of dentistry. It has over 6000 books and numerous research articles, journals, textbooks, reference books, etc. All the different departments have their own specific set of books available in the library from which the students have access to information as per their requirements.
The college provides hostel facilities for out-station students and also for students willing to reside. There is a separate hostel for boys and one for girls. Each room is well-ventilated and spacious with all the basic furnishing and usual needs which makes the stay of the students comfortable and easy. Enough storage space is also given to the residents. Washrooms are common and have hot water facilities.
The hostel has a mess which is a common dining facility for the students. Safe and hygienic meals are made available for the students. There is a cafeteria also within the campus that offers hygienic and nutritional foods at reasonable prices.
Institute of Dental Sciences has a two-tiered college auditorium. It has a seating capacity of more than 1500 people. It also has modern multimedia tools and a top-notch media system to make the events more attractive. The college also has lecture and seminar halls. The college laboratories are equipped with modern types of equipment and also with simulation technology which allows the students to practice and hone their skills in a controlled environment.
The college also provides sports facilities for the students to enjoy extracurricular activities. There are facilities for cricket, volleyball, basketball, karate, judo, and several indoor games. The college also conducts various sports and cultural events throughout the year. There is a properly constructed race track and a badminton court.
The Rohilkhand Medical College and Hospital caters to all the medical and emergency needs of the students. A temple has also been built within the campus for anybody who has religious beliefs.
