CSI College of Dental Sciences Madurai Overview

The long-held goal of having a dental college in Madurai was realised in 2007 because of Bishop Rt’s tireless efforts—Rev. Dr. A. Christopher Asir of the Madura & Ramnad Diocese. The college is affiliated with Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University and has recognition from the Dental Council of India and the Ministry of Health, New Delhi. Specialists from several dental specialties oversee the Dental Hospital connected to the college. Basic medical procedures, such as tooth extractions, are provided without charge. All types of illnesses are treated by relevant, trained professionals using modern and advanced tools. It is possible to house all clinical departments under one roof with a multi-story facility.

The 150-bed Christian Mission Hospital in Madurai offers a range of medical specialties, including outpatient and inpatient care, critical care, emergency care, day and night pharmacy, certified blood bank, and highly skilled medical staff. At this facility lies the CSI College of Dental Sciences and Research. Since its founding, CSIC DSR has concentrated on giving its students a top-notch education by offering direction and chances for practical experience. Because of its central location and free minor treatment offered to most patients, the dental facility sees a high volume of new patients.

The college’s vision is to create a society devoid of issues related to oral hygiene and to cultivate bright young dentists who will be in demand in big enough quantities to meet the needs of the community and also be the best dental facility for systemic learning and strategic services, with an emphasis on the poor and marginalised who typically skip on oral hygiene. The mission of the college is to teach the best values-based education possible, and ethics based on the ideas of giving back to the community, helping the impoverished, creating a pool of talented dentists, and reinventing dentistry to achieve world-class oral hygiene excellence and creating a healthy, disease-free nation.
